The cancer first appeared in her shoulder so we began with surgical removal of the tumor then radiation and nothing grew back but her hair that was cut there for the surgery. She was first diagnosed in Feb 2019 and had the surgery in March and was cancer free until July.

When the cancer came back and was much more aggressive and started to spread all over her body so next we tried chemotherapy and that worked well for a while but it took the life out her then it got worst and worst. She eventually became completely rejective of the medicine and started coughing up blood and can’t bark without coughing and couldn’t stand up straight and walk anymore so I knew it was time to allow her to be sadly put to sleep.

Her being a young dog it wasn’t an easy decision because she was a fighter but it became too much for her and my family and friends to bear. I started this company in her memory similar replicas of the dog clothes, toys and accessories similar to what Bao Bao used and wore.

I spent a lot of money paying for her cancer treatment. Out of pocket costs where in the 5 figures ball park. I know that I was very luck to be able to afford the proper treatment that she needed when I did but if I was able to sooner I would have possibly been able to save her life.
Because of this 5% of all proceeds from Bao & Bao doggie supplies will be donated to verist charities for dogs of all ages with terminal illnesses that assist with people whose dogs may not be insured and or unable to pay for their medical bills.

Bao & Bao Dog Supplies and Bao Bao Custom Doggie Apparel was originally founded in 2018 but had to be shut down in 2020 due to the covid pandemic and we are happy to relaunch in 2024!!!
